Do you love animals? We do and we are excited to spend time together on Saturday, October 21, 2017 for the SMAWL Rescue Fun Run and Trail Walk along the beautiful waterfront of Historic St. Mary’s City. Run alone, as a team, or with your pet.

Event Schedule:
- 8:00 AM Registration Opens
- 8:45 AM Costume Contest
- 8:50 AM Line up and announcements
- 9:00 AM Fun Run/Walk Begins
Early Registration (thru 1 October) - $25 per individual 12 yrs and older, $15 ages 7-12, and free for under 7 yrs
Onsite Registration - $30 per individual 12 yrs and older, $20 ages 7-12 T-Shirts available while supplies last

A SMAWL Dog Reunion with Group Photo will take place after the awards! Bring your SMAWL canine alumni!
All SMAWL dog alumni will receive a reunion bandana. Reunion t-shirts will also be available for human companions.
Fit pets capable of comfortably participating in the run are welcome to run. All pets are welcome to join us for the walk and pet festivities.
Grab your favorite Halloween costume, dress up your pet, and join us for a morning of fun and fellowship. Enjoy a run or walk (your choice) along the 5K trail through Historic St. Mary's City.
- Prizes will be awarded for:
- Top placing individual runners
- Top placing dog and companion teams
- Top fundraising teams (teams who raise the most money in sponsorships for SMAWL)
- Best costumes (pets and people)
Runners can register individually or as a team. Teams are challenged to raise as much as possible in sponsorships and awards will be given to the top fundraising teams. So grab your closest group of animal loving friends, ask friends to sponsor you, and help us to raise much-needed funding for the animals of SMAWL.

Every step on October 21st helps us provide animal welfare services for pets and people through rescue, spay/neuter, pet retention, and advocacy programs in order to create a safety net for companion animals and community cats. You can help even more by fundraising for the SMAWL Rescue Fun Run and Trail Walk before the event. You can fundraise as part of a team or as an individual. The top fundraising teams and individuals will win prizes!
Teams need to have a Team Name. So, gather a group of animal loving friends and start brainstorming and fundraising for our local homeless animals. All forms and funds are due by 9:00 AM on October 21st at the beginning of the fun run and trail walk.
