In 2016  SMAWL continues to carry out its mission by restoring homeless, sick, hungry and abandoned animals to lives of health and happiness.  Over 370 cats and dogs were saved so far this year, a milestone we would not have been able to achieve without the help of community members like you.  We thank you for being a part of this important effort.

As we come to the end of another busy year

We would like to

thank

those who have contributed to

SMAWL’s achievements.

As this year comes to a close, we ask you to take a moment to support our animals with a generous donation.  Your gift will help us defray the cost of food, essential supplies, medications and veterinary care for hundreds of animals in 2017.

SMAWL’s programs are entirely volunteer-run and supported by the financial support of the community.  Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the dedicated work of our volunteers, we can guarantee that the animals we help are never alone, hungry, sick, afraid or in pain.  Any amount you decide to donate will be very much appreciated and will make a different in the lives of the animals we serve.

We rely on generous donors and volunteers like you to provide the support animals like Percy and Peabody need to survive.

Update on Percy You may have heard of Percy, a 5 year old Bichon, who was rescued after his owner went into hospice care and the living conditions and abuse he suffered was brought to SMAWL's attention.  The desire for human companionship Percy demonstrated, even amidst the evidence of extreme neglect and psychological trauma, shocked the SMAWL rescue team. Percy is now an integral member of a family who provides him with loving care.    Peabody  is a very handsome 13 year old cat that was transferred to SMAWL from Tri-County Animal Shelter.   He was in desperate need of dental work, but stole the hearts of many with his laid-back and loving personality.  After $1,000 spent in dental work and receiving the after-care he needed to recover from surgery, he is enjoying the remainder of his days in in a very happy and loving home with Percy!
