SPAY & NEUTER VOUCHERS
Pursuant to our SNYP Grant from the Maryland Department of Agriculture, SMAWL will cover the cost of the spay/neuter surgery for your pet, provided you are eligible under the terms of the Grant. Once issued vouchers are valid for a period of 30 days. In certain cases SMAWL will cover the cost of Rabies Vaccines at our vaccination clinics which are held from March through November at the St. Mary’s County Fairgrounds.
* In some extreme cases (feral cats, community animals, etc) the vouchers can be extended to 100% of the cost. Please speak to our voucher coordinator ahead of time to discuss.

Low-Cost Vaccination Clinics
St. Mary’s Animal Welfare League, in partnership with St. Mary’s County Health Department, offers monthly low-cost rabies and distemper vaccinations, as well as microchipping to the public for their cats and dogs.
These clinics are held at the St. Mary’s County Fairgrounds on the second Monday of every month, from March through November, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. *The rabies clinic may be canceled or rescheduled if there is a scheduling conflict with the Fairgrounds.

*To obtain a three-year vaccination, you must present a current rabies certificate (not tags).
